2-axis, solar tracking, biomimetic, smart surface: Week 1
I was under the impression that our 2-axis solar tracker, and our smart surface were two separate things. After talking with the Prof's we determined that this is false, next week our project will be more cohesive.

Optimally Packing Spheres: Week 3
Taking the idea of a green wall from last week, we decided to expand on that idea and choose a specific site. We found the Duderstadt atrium to be a perfect candidate, not only because of the amount of space and natural light available, but also because of the plethora of sad looking plants scattered around the library.

Optimally Packing Spheres: Week 2
This week we decided to take our criteria (optimally packing spheres/holds) and apply them in an architectural function; the green facade.
There are numerous benefits to green facades, including biofiltration of water and air, shade that protects the structural wall from erosion from sunlight, and an element of delight in an urban setting.
The model was cut on the laser cutter and then distorted using heat guns to achieve the freestanding structure
